My Gear

35mm001

If you are an interested photographer, you might be wondering what kind of gear that I shoot with.

For most of my work I am shooting Nikon. I love Nikon. I have worked a little with other camera makers, and at this point I am very pleased with what Nikon is producing! I love Nikon glass: it makes some fantastic images. Also I love the way the cameras feel in my hand.

I am shooting with one of the current best cameras in the industry (just wait a few months, right), and with it I am making images that I love. So, all around, I really enjoy Nikon and highly recommend them for digital capture.

I have also begun to work with several kinds of film and I will include that information here too.

Camera Bodies:

Digital: 2 Nikon D700 bodies

Film Bodies and Stock:

  • 35mm film: Nikon F5
    • I am still ironing out which film I like for color negative. Will keep you posted on this
    • For black and white, I like Ilford Delta 400
  • Polaroid:
    • SX-70 Sonar One Step Bodies  (shoots 100 speed film)
    • 1 Sun 600
    • 1 Polaroid 680 (shoots 600 speed film)
    • Polaroid 600se (AKA “The Beast”)
      • Fuji 3000B (BW film)
      • Polaroid 664 and I am experimenting with others right now.

Lenses (which all work on my digitals and the F5):

Bags:

I have several, but the main bag is the Think Tank Urban disguise. I bought this as a “lens bag” and got it home and realized it was my everything bag. I also have one of their travel rolling cases: the Airport Air Stream. Such good bags!

Please feel free to contact me with questions on any of the above.

Cheers
