Recently I have been playing with some black and white medium format film. So I actually used my Polaroid back for my camera to give me a test shot. So yeah….these are “test shots.” I like test shots.

Sorry for the delay in posting. I would give you some kind of lame excuse about how busy I am, but it you follow me or many other photographers, you’ll know that can be the way of things. I have a lot of respect for photographers who can post (nearly) daily, and wish that I could swing that.

These images are some recent fine art Polaroid I have been working on.

You will find my tech notes at the bottom (for reals this time), but for those of you who could care less about the camera and film I am using here, please just enjoy the pictures! Thanks for stopping by.

I am continuing to hone my skills with the Mamiya RZ67 with Fuji’s instant film. This particular set features some of the beautiful plants in my back yard. I have to tell you, I really love black and white film for nature work. This is like shooting still life, except in a lot of cases my subject isn’t really still. I hope to start working with black and white in a medium format. I am currently playing with Ilford Delta 100 with the RZ and I can’t wait to get results back from that. So you know when you look out the window and you see a plant in the garden that is lit just perfectly and you think to yourself…you know I have one last shot of Polaroid in the Ol’ RZ…and then you run outside in the crazy rain to take one shot of a plant that you don’t even know the name of? Yeah…that just happened to me.

So…this wasn’t supposed to be like this. The lever on the RZ must have been tripped for multiple exposure. Gotta say…I wish I had done this on purpose.
