Stefan + Julie Engagement

As mentioned in the teaser post, I had such a great time with these two. It was so obvious that these two are crazy in love with each other. They also make that passion for the other look good! I think the phrase for some of these shots falls into the “Rawr” category. We met at one of their favorite local parks, one which each of them grew up going to as individuals, and now go to as a couple. Here are some shots from that location.

These next two were taken with my Lensbaby lens, and I am so pleased with the result. Such a beautiful affect!

Blue Steel

Yes…they are dancing!

No trees we harmed during the making of these images. It was like this when we got there…but hey, we’ll take it!

Once done at the park we decided to go shoot some pictures at Stephan’s parents house, and on the way we caught this epic sunset. The whole time at the park the light was hiding and we had some fairly heavy cloud cover. Up in the Proctor area in Tacoma we found the sun. We quickly parked and jumped out and got some beautiful shots before the light was gone.

We decided to simply walk back to Stephan’s folks place, and on the way we walked by Northwest Baptist Seminary, which has amazing grounds! They do weddings there, and if you are looking for a small and very elegant venue with a beautiful look out over the Puget Sound you should definitely check it out.

Since my couple thought it was a good idea to simply walk around, I had to follow them. We took some of my favorite images in that location. Who knew abandoned greenhouses were so freaking cool? Ok, I did. And I was nearly jumping out of my socks with excitement as we took pictures there.

This is us not taking ourselves too seriously. We had so much fun.

The Road Home

When I shot the wedding out in Othello (more on that in a future post) there were some great opportunities to stop and make some personal images. These were taken within the hour after we finished with wedding and were driving home. At some point I basically threw the car over to the side of the road and jumped out so as to not miss the light. These were so fun to make.

Stephan + Julie Engagement Teaser

The first of many images from their e-session. These guys really light up for each other, and it was fantastic to watch them flirt  during the shoot. So much passion makes my job so easy. Congrats you two!

Jesse + Lauren: Engagement

So, I think that it’s ironic that I am just now getting to post these engagement pictures. Ironic because I just shot their wedding this last weekend! These guys were a ton of fun. WHen trying to plan out where to go for the shoot I though to myself…why don’t we ride a ferry. How cool would that be? And they totally went for it. We got to tool around at the beach while we waited for our boat, and then rode over from Edmonds to Kingston. On the other side we got Ice Cream, and got a great chance to hang out. It was such a great time. Thanks Jesse and Lauren! Congrats.

First Real Polaroids

The Back Field

So this is it. The first shots taken with my Sun 600 and PX600. It is incredible how giddy I was waiting for these to develop. Also, this is all totally experiemental, which makes it even cooler. If you are interested in reading about what is going on in the Polaroid universe, check out the Impossible Project. I hope to post more of these once I have finished playing. Do any of you have an old Polaroid laying around?
