So this is me…and these shots were taken by my wonderful wife Sarah. She has just started getting excited about photography, and these are the fruit of that excitement. How’d she do?

February 4, 2010 - 6:52 pm - Nice job Sarah! Of the two I like the first one best. The composition seem a little better and I think you captured a better expression. The first one to me says "intense" the second one says "spacey." But than again, I'm not a photographer so take my thoughts with a grain of salt. Keep shooting the pics!
February 5, 2010 - 8:26 am - Very pensive. Good job Sarah. I like the first one better. The second shot, remembering that art is very subjective, looses me because the depth of field is such that we lose focus on his back eye, but have the focus on his front shoulder. My suggestion would be move the field of focus to capture his eyes / face but to not the shoulders. Either way, I am sure that was a difficult model to work with given that he is also teaching you. So Bravo!
